This is the second edition of the popular Outcome Oriented Problem Solving, OOPS, book by Kevin J. Patch.
The second edition is different from the first in that it is written as a story.  This is to bring out the learning involved not only in the OOPS process, but also the human factors that need to be kept in mind by those involved in problem solving.
The process remains non-linear and can be, and has been, used in a variety of industrial and service industries.
 The book remains deliberately short and theory free although reference has been made to further reading in the dialogue.
As before, the book aims to provide a practical, easily understood sledgehammer simple approach to operational problem solving. From feedback it appears in this it has been successful.
